Event Management

HIM was hired by Juneau shoe maven, Shoefly Alaska, to co-produce the second annual Style-O-Rama fashion showcase. HIM was involved in logistics including venue coordination, fashion show layout, securing fashion show participants, marketing, and promotion. HIM created planning documents that allowed for an organized pre-event process, including timelines, checklists, and participant expectations.  HIM conceived and executed the communications strategy, which included a strategic social media campaign, marketing assets, and media relations. Over 150 tickets were sold and the fashion show sold out days before the event. The majority of shops reported an increase in sales immediately following the event.

Media Relations

Higher Image Management was hired by Alaskan Brewing Company for media relations to help the brewery increase national and local press surrounding its sustainable brewing practices and 30-year anniversary. HIM outlined a public relations proposal that included multiple media angles to pursue in a three-month period.  HIM secured press in national outlets including INC., LA Times, The Washington Times, and Imbibe Magazine.  Various stories in industry trades were also secured including Brewpublic, American Craft Beer, Sommbeer, Mixology, and more.  

Alaskan Brewing participates in the annual Great American Beer Festival and asked HIM to secure interviews during the Festival. HIM secured 6 interviews to be conducted over 2 days including The Washington Times, Bill’s Beer Report podcast, the Business of Beer podcast, and Big West Beers [broadcast TV].

Product Launch & Media Relations

HIM was brought onboard to get BoatDay App national exposure surrounding its launch. HIM secured an exclusive interview in Business Insider, which led to over 800 downloads of the app in a single day.  Further national coverage included Conde Nast Traveller magazine and online [mention], GQ magazine online [mention], Urban Daddy, Curbed, The Street, and more. Local coverage included The Miami Herald, South Florida Business Journal, and broadcast coverage in Univision.
